How can Fibre-Beet help Underweight horses
Fibre-Beet is a combination of Speedi-Beet, Lucerne, Oat Fibre, Biotin and Peppermint. It is the ideal forage addition for skinny horses. Fibre-Beet is the easiest fibre for horses to digest (more digestible than hay), meaning that they will absorb more nutrients from the forage and the other feed the horse is being fed resulting in weight gain. Thanks to the high-quality proteins from the lucerne, Fibre-Beet is the perfect roughage addition for skinny, poor-looking horses to regain a perfect condition.
When choosing the fibre source for senior horses with poor or no teeth, pelleted fibre that can be soaked and made into a mash as well as soluble fibres such as Fibre-Beet are ideal. Fibre-Beet is much easier to chew and digest while helping to add calories that are essential for the older equine and which may be lost through less efficient chewing and digestion.
Fibre-Beet is an ideal high-conditioning fibre mash that can be used as a forage enhancer or to replace forage (up to 60% of the daily forage allowance). 1kg of soaked Fibre-Beet can replace 1kg of hay. Fibre-Beet also has biotin which contributes to the overall condition of the horse – improving skin and coat health.
