What do you love most about your horse? What I love most about Locky is how he always puts 100% into everything he does, whether it's in the dressage arena or on XC course. I have recently moved up to 1* eventing and he is so patient with me despite my nerves and mistakes. Locky has helped me come so far with my riding and I couldn't be more thankful!
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? When on xc training Locky gets very excited and likes to toss his head up and down after each jump

What do you love most about your horse? Jimmy is so friendly and is always up for a hug! He is so talented, and I can't wait to compete him more
Funny habits, how does your horse make you smile? Whenever we’re at a pony club rally or competition where Jim is stabled next to other horses, he always reaches over the fence to groom them.
What do you love most about horses? I love the teamwork and connection between horse and rider, they have taught me so much about myself and bring me so much happiness when I come home from a long day at school to see the horses waiting for me in the paddock. I feel that working with horses has helped me overcome so many fears and learn how to overcome anxiety to accomplish my goals.
Do you have an idol in the Equine World? Ever since I found out that Isabel English rode Locky for one of his previous owners, Jess Jenkins, in his first 1* she has been one of my greatest inspirations. Isabel is from the Gold Coast but competed her connemara x thoroughbred Feldale Mouse at Badminton Horse Trials.
Who is your biggest supporter? My biggest supporters are definitely my parents who both work full time to support my dreams. My coach, Tarni Woodhead is also a huge support to me as she always encourages me to look for new opportunities such as this.
Describe your favourite horse memory? I have so many amazing memories from horses, but I think that this years interschool dressage states has to be the most memorable. As the team captain of the St Aidans Equestrian Team, I love helping the younger girls to get out and about and encourage teamwork at competitions. Although Locky and I didn't place in the top five, I was so happy to have come 8th! Neither of us had ever competed at elementary before this year, so I'm really proud of how far we have both come!
What are your ambitions or dreams with your current horses? When I was younger I was so anxious while riding because I had a lot of bad falls, but Charlie helped me overcome these fears and even start jumping. I love the sense of achievement that comes with beating goals and doing things I never thought possible.
Where do you see yourself riding in 5 years? With Locky, I want to become more confident at 1*, develop his dressage until we are competitive at elementary, and become stronger in the show jumping phase. With Jimmy, I am really excited to start competing more and to higher heights. He is so full of potential and I think that next year he will be confident at 1* and hopefully ready to go higher.
Why do you want to be part of the Barastoc Junior Squad? I love being part of a team and would thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to become a part of the Barastoc Junior Squad to branch out, meet new people, and find new opportunities. I am very interested in any job to do with horses, so it would be really amazing to find out some of what goes on behind the scenes of a brand I already know and trust!
How do you think being a member of the Barastoc Junior Squad will help your riding? Being a part of the Barastoc Junior Squad would allow me to meet new people and find new perspectives from across the country. I would be so proud to represent such a well known brand, and be surrounded be other people as passionate and excited about horses as I am.
Which Barastoc Ambassador would you most like to meet? I would LOVE to meet Megan Jones. I am so passionate about eventing and she is such an inspiration to me. On her profile on the Barastoc website, she wrote; “… above all keep smiling even when things are going pear shaped!!!”, which has definitely been my motto this year after moving up a level in both eventing and dressage I have made many mistakes, but enjoyed my time competing nonetheless!
Have you fed Barastoc to your horses in the past? If so, what products did you use? I feed all of my horses Barastoc Calm Performer, and I feed Locky Commander when I have a ODE coming up.
